My name is Sarah and I am studying Biology at the University of Konstanz in Germay. At the moment I do a practical semester and I am working for an association which organizes nature conservation projects and is called “Schutzstation Wattenmeer”.
Having finished my work here I will interrupt my studies for another three months to travel to Uganda and get to know the country, culture and the way of live there. I decided for travelling to Uganda because I want to experience how live goes on in a developing country and because I think there are wonderful things to explore, not only in daily life but also in the nature and wildlife of the country.
During my habitation in Uganda I will support HOPE Children’s Foundation Africa (HCFA) as volunteer in Kawempe (area in the city of Kampala). I got in contact with HCFA via the homepage of betterplace.org, where HCFA presents its work. So I wrote an email to them and got a nice answer quickly.
At the moment I am looking forward to my time in Kawempe and I am trying to fund-raise for the organisation to support them also by this.
